In Squirrels (our 2 year olds) and Owls (our 3-5 year olds), children have free access between purposefully set up indoor and outdoor areas, supporting their developing needs and growing independence.

Classroom Area
The classroom area is set aside for quieter activities, including:

Free access to activities that support children's developing independence, care of themselves and encouraging fine motor control (such as threading or pouring)

Sensorial activities that prepare children for early maths and literacy

Exploration of the wider world and early science

Early Maths and Literacy activities
The Outdoors
Children are able to choose to be outdoors to work each day.

There are playtime resources such as cars, trikes, hoops etc.

We enjoy regular walks to neighbouring areas.

Outdoor activities include growing things and wildlife experiences

Regular Forest School activities will take place from Autumn 2018
